Registration is now open for Spring Trip 2017

Registration is now open for the Spring Trip. You MUST register by Jan. 13. No late registrations will be accepted. This year’s Spring Trip will be a day trip to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga on Saturday, February 25. We will visit the aquarium and take a 2-hour excursion on the River Gorge Explorer. We have a total of 210 spaces available that day for the River Gorge Explorer (3 trips with 70 passengers each.) These are first come, first-served. Registration is now open and closes January 13, 2017. Please don’t delay if you plan to attend as no late registrations will be accepted. Tickets to IMAX movies may be purchased separately at a discounted rate directly through the aquarium.

Cub Scout Fun Day September 24

registration iconSweetwater District’s annual Cub Scout Fun Day is in our own back yard this year! It’s being held at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, and will feature fun activities for scouts of all ranks, inclduing food and games, a scavenger hunt, prizes and more.

The cost is $8 through Monday, when the price goes up to $10. It will cost $15 day of the event.

Popcorn for the military: booths for September 17

Pack 564 scouts will be out again Saturday collecting donations to send popcorn to our service members, their families and veterans organizations. A portion also benefits Pack 564’s year-round program of citizenship, character-building and fun.

You can also purchase a box of Ultimate Butter or Butter Light microwave popcorn or a bag of caramel corn for yourself!

Here’s the schedule. Come out and donate to support our troops and your local scouts!

  • Kroger at Killian Hill and Stone Mountain Highway from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Lowes in Snellville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Bass Pro Shops at Sugarloaf Mills from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
