Cub Scout Pack 564 - Lilburn, GA
Preparing young boys and girls to become responsible, participating citizens, and leaders.
Cub Scout Fun Day is set for Saturday at Luxomni Baptist Church in Lilburn.
This is a council event, so your scout will be able to shoot bow and arrow and BB’s, along with crafts and other fun.
Registration is $15 until Thursday, then $20 day of the event.

Parents of new scouts, you have until Friday at 5 p.m. to redeem the voucher you were given for a free ticket to the Scout Day at the Atlanta Braves on Oct. 4. You can purchase additional tickets for the rest of your family as well.
The Scout Store is located at 203 Swanson Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. It’s open Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The telephone number is 770-962-2105.
Families with a Scout in uniform will also participate in a parade before the game, which begins at 3:05 p.m. Details of when and where to meet will be communicated before the game on the website and Facebook group.

This optional event fulfills one of the requirements for the Outdoor Ethics Action Award, but more importantly is a good opportunity to show great scouting spirit by helping beautify our Gwinnett community.

The hiking club hike planned for Saturday will need to be pushed back or possibly canceled. Turns out there’s a little thing going on at Stone Mountain Park this weekend. Maybe you’ve heard of the Yellow Daisy Festival? It won’t impact the trail, but traffic will be far too insane to ask you to willingly navigate.
I didn’t make the connection when I was planning this and didn’t until Kay Nagel kindly pointed it out to me today.
My plan has been not to reschedule hikes, but I was thinking of weather, not operator error. Given that this is the first one of this scouting year, I’d like to try to fit it in somehow. I can’t guarantee it however.
So, in summary, the only hiking going on Saturday at Stone Mountain Park will be in search of folk art, wind chimes or some festival food.
