You can register at home, from work or on your phone or tablet and pay using your credit card right away via PayPal, or you can register now and pay tonight or at the October pack meeting with cash or checks (or, if you have a Cub Bucks balance, you can use that, too). A registration table will also be available at the pack meeting if you need help, but we strongly encourage you to register and pay online from home or your own device if you’re able.

If you have any questions, please ask Michael Rennick or Mathew Kaswinkel, who are handling registrations this year.

Here’s the registration form (it is also available via the event page accessible from the calendar):

First pack meeting of the year!

pack meetingOur first pack meeting of the new year is at 7 p.m. tonight at MPUMC. We’ve got a full agenda, so don’t be late!

Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Matt McKenny will be formally installed as our new Cubmaster.
  • Our newest scouts who have completed the initial requirements will receive their Bobcat badges.
  • We’ll hear from all the dens.
  • We’ll learn more about the hiking club, fall family camping and other upcoming events
  • Scouts who have made at least one popcorn sale will get a monster truck, those who have sold at least $100 will get a raffle ticket, the highest seller so far will get a $25 gift card and the den with the most sales will get a pizza party (at a later date, of course!). Make sure to bring your order forms  (be sure to enter any military booth donations in $30 increments) and all money you’ve collected from door-to-door sales (you’ll get the order form back).

The BSA Medical Form is required for all scouts and other participants in scouting activities

Mathew Kaswinkel asks: Please print out and complete Parts A & B of the BSA Medical form for scouts and parents. Return the forms to your den leader no later than Oct. 5.

These forms are required by the Boy Scouts of America and are used to ensure the health and safety of participants in scouting activities.

Den leaders, please remind your parents at your next meeting.

Thanks you.

Popcorn sales begin this weekend

2010_TrailsEndIt’s time to get popping!

Popcorn sales begin this weekend with booths at select Krogers. New to the mix this year: the ability to offer individual packets of microwave popcorn to customers in addition to accepting military donations.

As of the morning of Aug. 27, slots are available for the morning of Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Beaver Ruin Kroger. You can check current availability at the signup site. One shift per scout until all scouts have had a chance to work a shift, please.

You’ll also want to make sure you attend this year’s popcorn kickoff on Thursday, Sept. 3 at Monkey Joe’s in Tucker. At this session, you’ll learn more about how this year’s program will work and receive your scout’s sales materials.

Pizza will be served for dinner.

If you have questions about the popcorn program,  you can check our Popcorn resource page, or email Lance Wallace, this year’s popcorn chair.
