Sweetwater Loop-a-Rama Dec. 13

Cub_Scout_Wildlife_ConservationThe early registration deadline has passed, but you have until Thursday for discounted registration to the 2014 Sweetwater District Loop-A-Rama.

Scouts will be able to earn two loops — one academic and one sports — at this event at Cooper Elementary School in Loganville.

Choices include Volleyball, Marbles, Badminton, Physical Fitness, Soccer, Geography, Geology, Chess, Map & Compass and Wildlife Conservation plus the Communications or Handyman activity pins for Webelos.

Remember … belt loops are going away next year so this is a good opportunity for your scouts to pick up a few extras.

More information, including registration details, are available on the NEGA site.

  • Lad and Dad Cake Bake entries must be registered between 6:30 and 7. Entry fee is a bag of canned goods for the Lilburn Co-op. Results will be announced at the end of the meeting. For details on the competition, see the Cake Bake page.
  • Spring Trip Coordinator Christine Pearson will reveal details about where we’re going and what we’re doing.
  • Popcorn Chairman Jeff Wilson will give us our final update on sales, and he’ll get a pie in the face from several scouts.
  • Registration will open for December’s holiday party, and continue for Pack Night at the Gladiators.
  • Finally, we’ll take a moment to reflect on citizenship, and to thank our veterans for their service.
