Join the Pack 564 hikers for our third monthly hike on the Laurel Ridge Trail at Buford Dam. We’ll meet at the lower overlook parking area near the dam. The hike will depart at 9:30 a.m. sharp (not the previously advertised 10 a.m.). We will hike rain or shine.
The trail is about 4 miles. It’s mostly flat, though there are a few moderate climbs that will get your heart rate going. We expect the hike to take about 2.5 hours. There are some scenic overlooks of the lake and the dam. We’ll make a few stops along the way, including a bathroom break and a stop for a snack.
Remember to pack a snack and bring plenty of water. Please check the hiking page for the regular kit you should bring on the hike.
